Savannah Scone Company takes Thanksgiving orders through 1 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2026. Orders are picked up at our Midtown Bakeshop, 713 E 65th St, on Wednesday, November 25, between 8 and 11 a.m., the morning before Thanksgiving. We confirm each order with a Toast invoice. Pay in full or a 50% deposit to confirm your order. The full Thanksgiving menu, including two gluten-free scones, is on our Thanksgiving page.

Scones are what we do, and a holiday table is where they belong. Our Thanksgiving menu is a short list of the flavors that suit the season, baked at our Midtown Bakeshop for pickup the day before the holiday. For what's baking outside the holiday menu, see our weekly menu.

When is the Thanksgiving order deadline?

Thanksgiving orders close at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 20. Every order is baked at our Midtown Bakeshop for Wednesday pickup.

Most Thanksgiving orders come in during the final week. If you already know what you want, ordering early is the surest way to get the flavors you want and the easiest way to cross one thing off the holiday list.

When do I pick up my Thanksgiving order?

Pickup is Wednesday, November 25, from 8 to 11 a.m. That puts your scones on the counter the day before Thanksgiving, ready for a full house on Thursday morning and for the day after. Pickup details are on our Thanksgiving page.

Wednesday morning pickup fits the rest of the day. You can collect your order on the way to the grocery store or the airport, and the scones are still fresh for Thursday breakfast.

How does Thanksgiving ordering work?

Fill out the order form on our Thanksgiving page with the flavors and quantities you'd like. Flavors outside the Thanksgiving menu have a half-dozen minimum per flavor. We'll follow up directly with a Toast invoice to confirm your order. Pay in full or a 50% deposit to confirm your order. There is no payment on the website. The form sends us your request, and the invoice is how we confirm it, so watch your email after you submit.

What is on the Thanksgiving menu?

The Thanksgiving menu is built around the flavors of the season: orchard fruit, holiday spices, pecans and two of our Scuffins. There are sweet scones for the coffee crowd and savory scones for the people who want something that isn't dessert. It is a short list on purpose, so every flavor gets the attention a holiday order deserves. See the full list on our Thanksgiving page.

The Thanksgiving menu is separate from the weekly menu. Our weekly menu keeps rotating through November as usual, so there is always something new in the case even while Thanksgiving orders are open.

Are there gluten-free scones for Thanksgiving?

Yes. The Thanksgiving menu includes two gluten-free scones, listed on the Thanksgiving page. Gluten-free guests tend to get the short end of a holiday table, and a gluten-free scone on Thursday morning is an easy way to make sure they have something made for them. For questions about ingredients, call the shop before you order. Our gluten-free page covers how we handle gluten-free baking the rest of the year.

Why scones on Thanksgiving morning?

Thanksgiving revolves around one big meal, and the morning is the part nobody plans. The oven is spoken for from early in the day, the counters are covered, and the cook does not want to make breakfast for eight people before starting on dinner.

A box of scones solves the morning without touching the kitchen. Set them on a plate next to the coffee and breakfast is done. Sweet scones go with the first pot of coffee and the parade. Savory scones hold everyone over until dinner, and a savory scone with leftover turkey on Friday makes a better lunch than most sandwiches.

Scones also travel well, so the same box works as a gift for the person hosting you. See our guide to scones as a hostess gift.

How many scones should I order for Thanksgiving?

Count the people who will be in the house Thursday morning and Friday morning, not the full dinner guest list. One scone per person per morning is a comfortable starting point, and a few extra never go to waste in a house full of leftovers. If you are hosting overnight guests, order for two mornings. If you are bringing scones to someone else's house, order for the people staying there.

Can I send Thanksgiving scones to family out of town?

The Thanksgiving menu is for pickup in Savannah. For family in other cities, we ship scones nationwide on Goldbelly, where available delivery dates show at checkout. A box that arrives the week of Thanksgiving is a good way to be at a table you can't get to this year. Our guide to how our scones ship nationwide explains what to expect.

Where is Savannah Scone Company?

We have two shops in Savannah. Our Midtown Bakeshop at 713 E 65th St is where every scone is baked, open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. In a regular week, our Downtown Coffee Shop & Scone Shop at 31 W Congress St is open Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and pours coffee and espresso alongside the scones. Thanksgiving week, the Midtown Bakeshop is open Wednesday morning for pickup only and closed Thursday and Friday. Both shops are closed on Thanksgiving Day.

What about the rest of the holidays?

Once Thanksgiving is behind us, the weekly menu keeps going, and December is the month for office orders, holiday brunches and gift boxes. After Thanksgiving, our year-round special-orders rule applies: for a flavor that isn't on this week's menu, order 8 or more of one flavor by 10 a.m. the day before, and we will bake a batch for you. See special orders for how that works, and Goldbelly for gifts that need to ship.
